How Self Storage Works
Our staff are always on hand to give you professional advice about storage and answer your questions. Here are a few Top Tips to get you started:
- Asking for a little help will save you time, it could also save you money! As self storage professional, we can give friendly, useful advice on how to make packing simple and reduce the amount of space you need
- Label boxes clearly with a marker pen and indicate the contents on a side that's easily visible when the box is stacked
- Books and papers can be heavy: pack these in smaller containers to make them easier to lift
- Buy sturdy packaging to protect your goods and allow you to stack them to minimise the amount of space you needFill boxes to capacity to prevent tipping. Use smaller boxes when otherwise they would be too heavy
Before coming to the store make sure you have considered the following to ensure a swift set up and access to your space.
Your goods must be insured to their full replacement value for the complete duration of your storage period. You'll need to let us know the value of your goods and have proof of insurance in place prior to moving in.
Direct Debit Payments
You'll need to complete the forms setting up a direct debit payment for your rental period.
Credit / Debit Card or Cheque
Your initial rental payment and security deposit needs to be provided by credit, debit card or cheque.
A Security Padlock
You will need a padlock to secure your space. We have padlocks available for purchase in store.
When you sign up for storage with us you'll need to bring two forms of ID with you. ??1. Photographic ID (passport, driving licence or valid Student ID) ?2. Proof of residence in the form of a bank statement or utility bill less than 3 months old.
Emergency Contact Number
We will need an alternative contact name and number, in case of emergency.
